Pen Pals in France!
Children:
Ms. Annelies Scouten, a native of Charlottesville, holds a teaching assistantship in Orléans from the French Government. She writes: "My school (une école primaire) would like to know if it is possible to start a letter exchange by regular post, between themselves and an Elementary school in Charlottesville. I think it would be wonderful for everyone involved.
"The children are 10 years old (Grade CM2), and would be thrilled to have American pen pals in 2006! There are about 25 students."
Interested parents of children in the Charlottesville area may contact Alliance Française of Charlottesville at 434-971-1616 or by e-mail at alliancefrancaisecville@yahoo.com.
Adults:
M. & Mme. Perros of Charmois, France have informed Alliance Française of Charlottesville of their interest in corresponding with persons in the Charlottesville area. Charmois is a small village about 80 kms from Besançon and they learned about us in an article published last August in "Le Pays", a regional newspaper. They are both in their mid-fifties and are familiar with international exchanges. Mme. Perros is an elementary school teacher who has introduced English to her students with the help of an American couple living in their region. Their address is as follows:
Monsieur et Madame Joël Perros
9 rue de Froide Fontaine
90140- Charmois
France
Alliance Française would greatly appreciate if anyone responding to this opportunity were to inform us at 434-971-1616 or alliancefrancaisecville@yahoo.com. Merci!
