Labor Day 2007 - Ice Cream Social

This coming Labor Day weekend, why not step into history? Historic McCormick House in Covesville, Virginia is hosting an "Old Fashion" ice cream social Saturday, September 1, from 1-4 p.m. Think food, banjo pickin' and lots of fun! From Charlottesville, travel 18 miles on Route 29 South. The McCormick house is located net to Covesville Antiques. Signs will be posted. This is a community fund raiser for Cove Presbyterian Church which will soon be celebrating the 2009th bicentennial of its church building and the 240th anniversary of its congregational charter. Everyone is invited to enjoy this nostalgic day of music and fun. For more information call 434-409-3324.

ANNUAL EVENTS

Ice Cream Festival: Each June we host an ice cream festival to raise funds for the Cove Childcare Center. Local musicians also donate their time in providing entertainment for this lively event.

Pancake Dinner: On Shrove Tuesday in the evening Cove Church holds a pancake dinner.

Easter: TBA

Christmas: One of the highlights of the season is the famous Cove Church Christmas pageant in which church members and life size puppets tell the story of the birth of Christ.

Activities
Fellowship Dinner: Fellowship dinners are held after church on the 4th Sunday of each month immediately after worship service. Please come! Bring a dish and join us!

Choir Practice: Choir practice is held every Thursday at 7:15 p.m. in the church sanctuary. Please contact Janet Moore-Coll (janet.moorecoll@gmail.com) for more information.
