Fairview Club, Inc. is located on an attractive eight-acre site adjacent to the Northfields Subdivision on Route 651 (Freestate Road).  Fairview was formed in 1963 as a private not-for- profit club to provide recreational facilities and activities for members.  The facilities were first opened on May 29, 1965.

The business and property of the Club are managed and controlled by a Board of Directors consisting of nine members who serve staggered three-year terms.  Three directors are elected each year at the annual membership meeting held in September.  The Club has four principal officers (a president, a vice president, a secretary, and a treasurer), a membership chairman, a club manager and tennis professional.  The Board meets each month throughout the year.

Membership in Fairview is limited to 300 persons or families.  Any person who wishes to become a member must complete an application to the Club.  The applicant can become a member upon approval by the Board of Directors and payment of an initiation fee.  The Club assesses annual dues, which must be paid by members in order to retain privileges of membership.  The Board has authority to assess other dues, if deemed appropriate, though historically only annual dues have been assessed.

If a member does not want to use the Club facilities during a given year, a temporary member may be approved for the purpose of using the facilities for that year.  In that event, the temporary member must pay the charge for the temporary membership, which is slightly more than the annual dues, and must pay any dues, other than the regular annual dues, which may be assessed for that year.  The temporary member is entitled to use the facilities for that year, and the regular member may not use the facilities that year. A member that rents out their membership, they cannot be apart of the swim or tennis team or use the facilities of Fairview, unless as a guest of a member.

A person may cease to be a regular member by notifying in writing that they wish to surrender their certificate.

The club facilities include a six-lane 25 meter pool with a diving well, a toddler pool, a wading pool, diving board, water slide, a large concrete apron with lounge chairs and picnic tables, newly renovated restroom facilities, snack bar, four hard-surface tennis courts with lights, a tennis backboard, a basketball court, and a volley ball area.  In addition, Fairview has active junior swimming and junior tennis teams, provides swimming and tennis lessons and sponsors social activities during the year.  For certificate holders only, keys are available for use of the tennis courts at times when other club facilities are not open.
