After warning Jefferson at Monticello, Jouett road into Charlottesville to the Swan Tavern to warn other members of the Virginia General Assembly. You can visit the site of the Swan Tavern as part of the historical walking tour of downtown Charlottesville.

Jack Jouett did not remain long in Virginia following the Revolutionary War. Within a year of his famous ride, he migrated to Kentucky where he married and raised his family. There are several links from Kentucky that make reference to Jack Jouett. The Woodford County Chamber of Commerce website includes the Jack Jouett House Museum as a historic attraction.
Jack Jouett's son Matthew Harris Jouett is one of Kentucky's distinguished painters and famous in his own right. You will find out more about him and
