Christmas Celebration

Join us for an evening of celebration and fellowship.

Help us to kick off the holiday season as we celebrate the birth of Christ;

The Story of the birth of Christ will be told through special music by the choir, scripture reading, responsive readings, and traditional Christmas carols by the congration. This lively combination will involve everyone, entertain and remind us why we selebrate this holiday. Bulliten for the service

The "Story" will be followed by our tree lighting ceremony which celebrates handmade Christmas tree ornaments with various symbols of Christianity known as Chrismons™.

The name Chrismon™ comes from a combination of CHRISt and MONogram because some of the traditional symbols of Christianity were monograms composed of various combinations of letters of the name Christ or titles for Jesus. These monograms and other symbols, such as the sign of the fish, were in use early in the church as secret symbols of Christianity. We enjoy them today to remind us of the true meaning of Christmas.

The tree will be a 15 foot Fraser fir decorated with approximately 3,000 lights and hundreds of Chrismons.

The program will be followed by a scrumptious covered dish holiday meal for everyone! Come and sample the favorite holiday treats members provide at this time.
