The Rivanna Chapter is proud to be the Central Virginia home of the National Railway Historical Society (NRHS), the world's largest railroad history organization with over 19,000 members in nearly 170 community level chapters. As a non-profit community based historical and educational organization, the NRHS is dedicated to the preservation of America's railroad heritage.

The Rivanna Chapter meets on the THIRD TUESDAY of every month at the Elks Lodge in Charlottesville, Virginia. Social and dinner hour begins at 6:00 PM. The evening's program follows at 7:00 PM.
