POWER: High-Tech Diesels on Today's Railroad
Take a look at modern railroading's most powerful locomotives. Rated at more than 4000 horsepower and boasting six axles for maximum pulling power, these diesels are the backbone of major US railroads like BNSF, Union Pacific, CSX and Norfolk Southern. Locations span America and include one of the continent's most spectacular train-watching spots, California's Cajon Pass. Enjoy insightful commentary from TRAINS editor Mark Hemphill, former EMD manager Jack Wheelihan, and former TRAINS Power Desk columnist Greg McDonnell, author of Kalmbach's Field Guide to Modern Diesel Locomotives.
