What books have you enjoyed reading
or listening to over and over again? Ready to move on to some new ones? Maybe someone in
the community would get the same enjoyment from your book? Rivanna Solid Waste Authority
has a way to help make that happen. The McIntire Road Recycling Center now has a drop-off
container for your used books.
The Book Exchange Bin is located at the far end
of the McIntire Road Recycling Center. Drop off your books and browse to see what
tempts you for your next reading enjoyment. Why? Because you choose to reduce your waste.
Its economical, its practical and its necessary.
All books are technically reusable, but many
books are in poor condition. So how do you know which of your books to drop in the Book
Exchange Bin? Its simple: only bring to the Book Exchange Bin what you would want
to take home. So what do you do with the
other books? If you can remove the covers, they can be recycled at the McIntire Road
Recycling Center. Just place them in the phonebook bin!
