In October, 2004, the church held its first Operation Inasmuch a one day missions blitz of the community. After a commissioning service 39 people dispersed into the community to participate in a variety of missions projects such as planting flowers on Main and Valley Streets, clearing debris, picking up trash, repairing and painting the basketball goals and swing sets at Scottsville Elementary School, preparing "hygiene kits" for the prisoners at the Fluvanna Correctional Center for Women, the affirmation of public servants, and preparing "pumpkin plants" for the residents of the Scottsville School Apartments and taking communion to shut ins.
Operation Inasmuch is now a bi-annual event. It was held in the fall of 2005 and also in the summer of 2006.
The Woman’s Missionary Union leads the church in praying for missionaries, missions education, and mission action projects throughout the year. They meet the third Thursday of each month.
An ecumenical women's group which participates in Bible study, mission action projects and fellowship activities meets on a regular basis.
