The young people at Scottsville Baptist Church are a vital part of our church life. They are faced with many challenges in today’s world and we see our role as helping to shape their spiritual lives so they have the necessary tools to deal with the twists and turns of life.
The young people have three primary opportunities to become nurtured in the
Christian faith:
Sunday School at 9:45 a.m
Other special events which help youth become grounded in their faith:
Passport: a camp and missions experience.
Impact Virginia: a hands-on mission experience
Youth Evangelism Conference is held annually in Richmond
Retreats; local missions projects and fundraisers
Like most youth, social activities are important. The young people go skiing, “float the James,” attend the drive-in theater, have cook-outs and other fun activities that give them opportunity to socialize.
