The Rev. Caroll Mallin was ordained Deacon in 1981 in Miami, Diocese of S.E. Florida. In order to enhance her ministry she also received a Master’s Degree in Psychology and pursued dual careers for more than twenty years. Within the Church, she served as Assistant at St. Luke’s, Kendall and at the Episcopal Chapel, University of Miami, in student outreach. Caroll worked with young people in many capacities: as counselor for the Methodist Children’s Home, a residential group home; Juvenile Justice Advisory Committee and Juvenile Detention Center Board, Dade County; a co-founder of the CHARLEE Program of Dade County, a program for abused, neglected and abandoned children; Youth Leader for various churches and finally as School Counselor, Palmer Trinity School, an Episcopal prep school for grades six through 12. She was a Clinical Member, American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists; Fellow, American Association of Pastoral Counselors, and was Certified in Interactive Guided Imagery. Caroll has two children, one foster child, and four grandchildren. |
